Philology, Pedagogy, and Theater
Júlia Fortaña, a professional actress and Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) teacher, created the ELEnCo method in 2023, finding a way to unify the three major passions to which she has devoted her life: teaching Spanish, learning foreign languages, and acting.
This ELE methodology was developed by Júlia over three years during her Master’s Degree in Theater and Performing Arts at UCM and the Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at UIMP. At the same time, she continued to evolve as an actress, participating in various theater companies and audiovisual productions.
Her in-depth study and analysis of her award-winning European references, Glottodrama (Italian) and Waldorf-L2-Learning Approach (German), combined with her extensive academic and artistic training, gave her the inspiration and motivation to launch the ELEnCo project.
A language is learned when it is understood, interpreted, felt, and made one's own. It's time to overcome the cliché of 'I understand it, but I can't speak it.'

The ELEnCo method uses the most famous Spanish plays, including works by classical authors such as Miguel de Cervantes or Federico García Lorca, as well as contemporary authors like Sergi Belbel.

ELEnCo sessions are available throughout Spain for direct work with students, and worldwide for teacher training in the methodology.
